We consistently hear that the number one reason that clients choose to do business with our hotel is its fantastic location; add in all the modern conveniences of a recently renovated full-service Hilton hotel with award-winning customer service and you are working with a winning combination which is sure to satisfy even the most seasoned business or leisure travelers.
At the DoubleTree by Hilton Raleigh Brownstone-University, each guestroom and suite provides modern decor with large work areas, Sweet Dreams® by DoubleTree bedding, large flat screen high-definition TVs plus the convenience of complimentary highspeed internet and onsite parking. Our function space features 15,000 sq. ft. of flexible conference and reception space including our Presidential Ballroom which can host groups of up to 700. Additional amenities include our Harvest Grille restaurant, lobby Bar, 24 hour onsite fitness center, outside patio, business center, and grab-n-go pantry. Another unique feature of our hotel is that most of our guestrooms feature sliding glass doors with walk-out private outside balconies.
Step outside the hotel and the fun really begins as we are located just three short blocks from the Shops of Cameron Village where you can find nearly anything your group would need including 80+ upscale boutique-style shops, twenty restaurants and necessities like two grocery stores, a pharmacy and even a large library. Walking in the opposite direction, you can go four short blocks and reach the recently renovated Pullen Park. It is Raleigh's oldest park and includes 66 acres with picnic areas, concessions, a large indoor aquatic center, pond with paddleboats, several rides including a train that circles the park and a large playground. Right next door to the hotel is the Downtown Alexander YMCA which our guests have the ability to use in addition to our on-site fitness center. Walking west on Hillsborough street it's just two blocks and you are to the edge of NC State University's beautiful campus. If you chose to walk east down Hillsborough street for roughly .75 mile you would run right into Glenwood Avenue and the Glenwood South nightlife area that includes many of the most popular bars and restaurants in the city. The State Capital itself is just 1.25 miles east of our hotel on Hillsborough Street and the Raleigh Convention Center is the same distance away on South Salisbury street.
