Turnkey Integration is what we do best.
With over 30 years of Audio Video experience and a hard-earned reputation for craftsmanship, there is no project too large or complex for our field installation team. Our skill set stretches
from structural work in new construction through wiring, rack assembly, on-site equipment installation and final testing & commissioning. Our goal is to turn over a polished system on time, on budget, and 100% tested. Every project gets the same attention to detail, whether the budget is $5,000 or $5 million. And we do it with a smile — our installers love their work, and they earn our clients’ trust not just for their expertise but also for their friendly, respectful, flexible attitude.
Expert Design, Consulting, and Engineering.
Our design team will turn your dreams into reality. We pride ourselves on our listening skills and our creative approach to solving difficult design challenges. Our expertise stretches across audio and video systems, network design, software development, acoustics, and architectural coordination. We are a powerful resource for clients who need a turnkey design/build project and for architects who need A/V coordination and documents for a drawing package. Every project is different, and each one is assigned to a team of designers with the right skills and experience.
We know that people come first.
Our support team thrives on a challenge, and understands that system hiccups are stressful and disruptive for any client. Armed with real-time remote monitoring and management tools, we are constantly vigilant for early signs of equipment failure that may not yet be apparent to the end user — so they can be resolved before downtime occurs. When problems do require a field visit, our central location in downtown Durham allows us to be on site anywhere in the Triangle on short notice. And perhaps most importantly we recognize that a smile, a reassuring word, and a quick, confident diagnosis can defuse even the most urgent situation.
Helping groups of all sizes work together.
Many KONTEK clients share a common challenge: enabling seamless, easy-to-use collaboration over distance. Software platforms like Zoom, Webex and Microsoft Teams work very well on individual desktops, but serious A/V expertise is needed to implement them successfully in group environments like conference and training rooms, classrooms, auditoriums, and medical procedure rooms. KONTEK’s unique combination of IT and A/V skills gives our clients the resources they need to ensure that every participant’s experience is an excellent one.
We belong to a vibrant, caring, and creative community.
KONTEK’s roots in Durham run deep. Duke University was our first major client. We were one of the earliest businesses to move back into Durham’s nearly abandoned downtown district in 1997. We’ve cheered for our town as it reinvented itself from tobacco manufacturing into a center for research, health care, and technology. We love supporting Durham’s thriving arts and performance communities, and we take seriously our responsibility to help care for our downtown neighbors who are most in need. We feel the same way about the greater Raleigh community and the 300 mile radius around Durham that we focus on for quick access to service our clients.
