Be a Catalyst for Change in Our Region This collaborative annual event gathers a cross-section of the region’s entrepreneurs and business leaders from start-ups to established corporations to tackle issues that impact innovation in our region. The Innovate Raleigh Summit is brought to you in partnership with the City of Raleigh Office of Economic Development & Innovation, the Raleigh Chamber, and Wake County Economic Development. Hear from keynote speaker, Peter Kageyama, author of "For the Love of Cities: The Love Affair Between People and their Places" and "Love Where You Live: Creating Emotionally Engaging Places." Kageyama talks about love and emotional engagement with our places–why it is a good thing for more people to fall in love with their cities. He will also discuss the role of placemaking in creating and cultivating entrepreneurship and innovation. Kageyama will moderate a stellar panel of local trailblazers, including:
The panel discussion will be followed by seven dynamic breakout sessions, in which thought leaders will take deep dives into crowdfunding, advocacy and storytelling, talent attraction, quality of place, and more (including parking!). Read more about the sessions here. Then grab a drink and a snack and wrap the day at the Summit social hosted by the Raleigh Convention Center. Bring your ideas to the table and be a catalyst for change. Innovate Raleigh idea-makers have galvanized the founding of the HQ Raleigh co-working space, a direct flight from RDU to San Francisco, and meet-ups for entrepreneurs. They also convened the group that started “Raleigh M.A.I.N. Events,” promoting music, design, arts, and innovation during the month of September. Reserve your seat at the table today to ensure you're part of the movement.
