Now, during these challenging economic times, that demand has skyrocketed to about 300 meals a day. Please join us on July 28 where we will hear from Maggie Kane, the founder and executive director of A Place at the Table. She will speak with us virtually as a part of our Coffee with Leaders series. Kane will share how A Place at the Table, a pay-what-you-can-cafe in downtown Raleigh, has adapted to meet the increased demand and needs of the community. She will discuss how they have become more efficient to serve more people, and how they have been able to raise money during the pandemic. Kane’s vision became a community movement. She grew up volunteering in soup kitchens. As she served others, Kane saw a need. She wanted to give the people she served more of a choice. She wanted them to feel valued. That’s where the idea for A Place at the Table was born. But, getting her idea to become reality took years of hard work and determination. Kane also will share that inspirational story with you, including the steps she took to build the nonprofit. Fresh off Kane’s TEDx Talk, hear her powerful story. This series is meant for companies with 50 employees or fewer. RSVP by July 14 No refunds after RSVP deadline Questions?
