Gregory Poole was founded by James Gregory Poole, Sr., and his uncle, William Lewis Gregory, Sr. on April 1, 1951. With headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina, Gregory Poole became the CAT construction equipment dealer for eastern North Carolina. Since being founded, the company employs more than 1,300 associates at 24 different facilities. Poole has successfully led the company during its third generation, something that only 10 to 15 percent of family businesses achieve.
