Explore Ways to Get Capital to Grow Your Business

Speak directly with small business lenders about ways to grow your business. If you are in need of capital or are unsure what lenders want to see when evaluating small business loan applications, then this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss. The lenders will provide information and resources for entrepreneurs who want to start or expand a small business. Lenders include:

Joe Battle, vice president of business services, Carolina Small Business Development Fund (CSBDF) – Battle will share how as a nonprofit and certified CDFI, CSBDF supports small businesses in underserved areas.  He will provide information on small business loans and financial training to start-ups and existing businesses, along with lending services to community-based organizations.

Michael Byers, Business Development Officer, First National Bank Small Business Finance – Byers will discuss financing options through the Small Business Administration (SBA) for small business owners looking to expand, acquire a new business, buy out a partner, purchase commercial real estate, and more. He will also discuss the benefits of utilizing the SBA program as a means to grow and succeed in business.

Grace Preuc, branch manager, Cameron Clark Wells Fargo – Preuc will provide information on small business loans and financing opportunities available with Wells Fargo.

Patrick Rodriguez, senior area manager, Raleigh office of the U.S. Small Business Administration – Rodriguez will provide information and resources for entrepreneurs who want to start or expand a small business. He will share how the SBA and its resource partners provide free long-term, one-on-one business mentors, experienced with business start-ups, market research, loan packaging, funding (SBA loans), expansions, and government contracting.

Jennifer Sherwin, commercial loan officer, Self Help Credit Union – Sherwin will share how Self Help Credit Union is a family of member-owned, mission-driven credit unions, a nonprofit loan fund, and a policy advocacy organization. She will provide information on the organization’s programs and services and how they work to expand ownership and economic opportunities for all.

The Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce and the City of Raleigh are thrilled to be hosting this event as a part of Raleigh’s National Small Business Week. Join us for this opportunity to learn about ways to expand your company, while networking with other small business owners.
