Nonprofit Executive Shares Leadership Insight

Pamela J. Norley
is the president of Fidelity Charitable, an independent public charity that sponsors the nation’s largest donor-advised fund program. In this role, Norley drives the organization’s core mission to grow American philanthropy by providing programs that make giving accessible, simple and effective. She also serves as a co-leader for Fidelity’s North Carolina region which includes offices in Durham and Cary and approximately 3,600 employees.

At this C-Suite Perspectives breakfast, Norley will explore lessons she learned throughout her leadership journey. What challenges has she faced, and how did she surmount them? Find out how you can apply her experiences to your own professional life.

Pamela Norley
Prior to her role at Fidelity Charitable, Norley served as executive vice president of Enterprise Talent and Relationships Groups for Fidelity Investments, where she was responsible for managing  top institutional client relationships and leading the talent management and recruiting organizations. She is a member of Fidelity’s Senior Management Team and was a co-chair of Fidelity’s Community Committee for Corporate Citizenship.

From 2006 to 2009, Norley led the Fidelity Consulting Group, overseeing strategy and consulting support to all Fidelity businesses, including its global private equity and venture capital units. Prior to that, she played a key role in launching Fidelity’s Corporate Business Development Group, supporting mergers, acquisitions and strategic alliances. From 2001 to 2006, she held a series of roles leading business compliance and healthcare product management and sales for Fidelity’s outsourcing businesses. She joined Fidelity in the Corporate Legal department in 1996.

Outside of the office, Norley volunteers her time as a trustee for Temple University School of Law, as a member of the Board of Advisors for Greater Boston Food Bank, as a member of the Board of Overseers for Boston Ballet, and as a member of the Board of Directors for Points of Light. She formerly served on the Executive Women’s Council for the Dana Farber Institute (2001-2008); United Way’s Women’s Initiative (2001-2010); University of Virginia’s Board of Benefactors (2009-2013); and Boston Ballet’s Board of Directors (2011-2014).
