Over the weekend we received news that Gerald Franklin, a long time Graco employee and friend, passed away. “Gerald was one of the best vendor representatives that we’ve ever had. He is the one that originally set up our Graco account and was our representative for over 30 years. More importantly, Gerald became a great friend. I don’t think anybody has supported our company or our people more than Gerald Franklin did in Oklahoma and Arkansas. He will be missed.” -Travis Detter

Press Release: Spectrum Paint to Acquire Carter Color Company in Clemson Spectrum Paint has reached an agreement to acquire the assets of Carter Color Company in Clemson, South Carolina. The location, 1067 Tiger Blvd, will officially open as Spectrum Paint on Monday, June 3rd, 2024. Carter Color was founded by Keith, Tonda, Curtis, and Esme Carter in 2017. Curtis and Esme have been running the store and will stay on with Spectrum Paint. “Curtis, Esme, and team have done an excellent job in Clemson and we’re excited they’ll be joining us,” said Travis Detter, Spectrum Paint president and founder. “This will be our fourth location in Upstate South Carolina with the other three located in Greenville, Spartanburg, and Landrum. This will give our customers even more options and we plan to work hard to maintain the level of service and care the Carter family have provided over the past seven years.” Spectrum Paint is the largest independent paint dealer in the nation with now 17 stores in South Carolina and 112 stores in 12 states.
