February YPN Program: Networking as “You”

What does it mean to bring your authentic self to networking events? As you step into your professional roles, you will be challenged with building internal and external networks to advance your career. This session will help you understand how to do that without losing “you’’ in the process.

Our speaker will be Trinija Martin, CHRM, IPMA-SCP, Deputy HR Director for Wake County Government. As Wake County’s Deputy Human Resources Director and Sponsor of the DEI Committee, Trinija leads the organization’s HR operations strategy at a time of growth and transformation. Trinija oversees a team that manages work streams ranging from recruitment, organizational effectiveness to culture, diversity, equity, and inclusion. She has 20+ years of strategic HR experience and has worked in both public and private industries for startups, local government, and Fortune 500 companies.

She is a proven thought leader and serves on the Wake Invests in Women (WIIW) Steering Committee, Cigna’s Health Disparities Advisory Council, and the Local Government Credit (LGFCU) Union Advisory Council. She has served on the GA Local Government Personnel Association (GLGPA) and the GA Public Employer Labor Relations Association (GAPELRA) boards.

- Learn from an expert in the networking space and then put those skills into action during breakout sessions with fellow YPN members.

Following the presentation, YPN will break from the normal program model to host breakout networking sessions, facilitated by Trinija, to apply tactics and lessons from the presentation and build your own network of young professionals.

At our February Program, we will be collecting clothing donations for Note in the Pocket, a nonprofit dedicated to providing quality clothing to homeless and impoverished children and families in our community. They are in need of short sleeve shirts of all sizes for children and adults.
