FREE for YPN members Help the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina Feed Those in Need The Young Professionals Network is volunteering with the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina in support of the partial shutdown of the federal government. When the shutdown occurred, the Food Bank contributed direct distributions in communities with a high number of federal employees. The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is a nonprofit organization, and a member of Feeding America. The Food Bank serves a network of more than 800 partner agencies such as soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, and programs for children and adults in its 34-county service area, through six branches in Durham, Greenville, New Bern, Raleigh, the Sandhills, and Wilmington. On March 1, the Young Professionals Network will help the Food Bank by sorting through bulk product donations, and repackaging those items into family-sized portions that the Food Bank can easily distribute to communities that may still be in need. The Young Professionals Network volunteer days provides the opportunity for young professionals to network with other members while serving our community! Our volunteer day will occur from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Questions? Call 919.664.7036 or email Brianne Gill Join the conversation on Twitter! @raleighchamber #RaleighYPN
