Extend a Helping Hand with YPN Register to take part in the Young Professionals Network MLK Service Day event as we celebrate the accomplishments of Martin Luther King, Jr. by helping an organization that serves a critical need in Wake County. This year, the Young Professionals Network is partnering with Note in the Pocket. Note in the Pocket provides clothing to impoverished and homeless schoolchildren in Wake County with dignity and love. Note in the Pocket believes that it is unacceptable that children are limited in their educational and social development because they do not have appropriate clothes for school. Note in the Pocket provides clothing to students identified by various schools and social service agencies in the community. This organization fulfills the needs of children by providing attire appropriate to school. Note in the Pocket accepts donations and supply all seasons of clothing throughout the year. Our Young Professionals group will volunteer by assisting with sorting, sizing, organizing, and by helping to package clothing orders. Volunteers are able to participate in one of the two shifts that are available which are either from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. or in the 11:15 a.m. - 1 p.m. shift. Volunteering is also a great opportunity to network with other Young Professionals Network members. We hope that you will join us! Questions?
