This event is open to the public. Enjoy a Candid Conversation with the Co-owner of Trophy Brewing It’s no secret that bars, restaurants, and many other businesses are in the middle of an unprecedented challenge. Business owners are coming up with strategies to weather this time of social distancing. Then, they must plan for the future of their businesses once the pandemic is over. These all are issues running through the mind of David Meeker. Meeker, a Raleigh native, helped found Trophy Brewing and Carpenter Development. Trophy Brewing was looking forward to a great 2020, just finishing its State of Beer expansion and weeks away from the Trophy Brewing on Morgan Street expansion opening, when the coronavirus hit. Since then, the business has looked for new ways to generate revenue, including contact-free beer delivery. Meeker will share his strategies with you online at our next Coffee with Leaders. Learn how David is dealing with the pressure and stress of it all, how his business is shifting 180 degrees to keep a few managers on the payroll, and how Trophy Brewing is planning to function in a new normal once things reopen. Meeker is on the boards of Common Cause, North Carolinians for Redistricting Reform, Raleigh Chamber, Downtown Raleigh Alliance, Dix Park Conservancy, and Artspace. He also is active with fundraising for Healing Transitions, a detox and recovery center on Dix Park. He lives in Downtown Raleigh with his wife and two boys.
