Learn Leadership Lessons from Dr. Tunde Sotunde

Join us at our next virtual C-Suite Perspectives where we will hear from Dr. Tunde Sotunde, the new president and CEO of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. Dr. Sotunde began his leadership role of North Carolina’s largest insurer in June 2020.

You will be able to learn from Dr. Sotunde about how he is guiding Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina during the pandemic. He also will explain the five ingredients that he says we need to make better, simpler, more affordable healthcare. These ingredients include:

Community health
Whole person healthcare
Need for collaboration
Using data/analytics
Common sense policies to expand access to affordable care

Dr. Sotunde was born in Nigeria where he spent his early childhood before attending boarding school in England. In the early 1990s, Dr. Sotunde immigrated to the U.S. where he completed his pediatric residency training. In his previous role, Dr. Sotunde served as the president overseeing Anthem’s Medicaid and related state government business across 23 states and the District of Columbia with 7.3 million members and $33 billion in revenue, where he drove a 13-percent membership increase in enrollment over a two-year period.

Learn what drove Dr. Sotunde to North Carolina and hear what he says is the role of employers and the business community in improving healthcare across North Carolina.

The last 30 minutes of this virtual event will be set aside for networking after Dr. Sotunde’s talk. You also will be able to ask him questions.
