From Busy to Intentional: A Values-Driven Approach to Time Management

Networking 101 is our quarterly professional development series designed to equip small business owners, entrepreneurs, and emerging leaders with practical tools to grow their businesses and strengthen their professional networks. This next interactive workshop reframes time management as a values-driven practice, not a productivity race. Drawing on Stephen Covey’s principle of Put First Things First, along with insights from Michael Hyatt’s Full Focus System and EOS, the session helps participants move from reactive busyness to intentional design.

Rather than covering dozens of tools, the workshop focuses on a simple, powerful question: What truly matters to you, and does your calendar reflect that? From there, participants learn how to translate priorities into practical weekly, monthly, and quarterly rhythms through the Four Quadrants framework, Ideal Week design, and time blocking.

Engagement & Interaction:
Participants will reflect individually, discuss in small groups, and actively build pieces of their own Ideal Week during the session. The workshop is designed to be hands-on and practical, so attendees leave with clarity, momentum, and a structure they can immediately apply.

Purpose and impact are woven into our speaker Jessie Hathcock’s DNA. For over 20 years, she has led in education, nonprofits, and the business community—always with a heart for helping people reach their innate potential.

As President of The Loading Dock and founder of Scale Simple, Jessie guides leaders and organizations to align their purpose with their strategy, unlocking growth that’s both conscious and sustainable. Her work centers on stewardship, belonging, and ushering in a new reality where people and businesses come fully alive.
