Leadership Raleigh

Celebrating 55 years of cultivating community leaders, Leadership Raleigh stands as one of the nation’s longest-standing leadership programs. This signature ten-month experience invites around 100 leaders (across two cohorts) to engage deeply with our region through presentations, collaborative panels, immersive behind-the-scenes tours, and civic involvement.

Participants learn firsthand from regional business executives, elected officials, and non-profit leaders, gaining an in-depth understanding of our community’s challenges and opportunities in various areas. They also collaborate on team-based service projects that contribute tangible, meaningful impact across the Triangle.

Though the application period is currently closed, the program looks forward to welcoming a new cohort when applications reopen in Spring 2026.

Join the Greater Raleigh Chamber for Classroom to Career: Wake Education and the Future of Work, a breakfast event dedicated to exploring the state of education in Raleigh and Wake County. Attendees will hear opening remarks, followed by a conversation with the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) Superintendent on priorities for school development, new buildings, and facility improvements to accommodate expanding student populations and support innovative learning environments. The program will also feature a panel of leaders who are actively engaged in workforce and education initiatives, emphasizing the vital link between strong schools and a thriving economy. Celebrating over a decade of leadership impact, Emerging Leaders, established in 2011, is a dynamic 8-week program designed to expand the capacity of tomorrow’s leaders. Limited to 20 participants each session, this exclusive cohort experience immerses professionals in leadership strategies, emerging local trends, and peer-driven learning in an intimate, high-impact environment.

Through a curated blend of personal evaluation, small-group interactions, and engagement with Raleigh-area executives and business leaders, participants acquire actionable skills, sharpen self-awareness, and broaden their networks. Since its launch, the program has empowered over 400 participants to elevate their leadership and make meaningful community impact.

Why Phoenix: A Relocation Story
- Attendees will hear from members of the business community about what drew them to the Phoenix region. Attendees will gain insight into the factors that made Phoenix an attractive place to relocate and grow, including workforce and economic opportunities, quality of life, and regional advantages.
Travel and Tourism
- With a three-building downtown convention center, four professional sports teams, and over 40 resorts in the Greater Phoenix region, Phoenix has strategically leveraged its tourism assets. Start the conference a day early with a relaxing evening on Lake Saguaro. This optional add-on features a private cruise for our group, offering time to unwind, connect with fellow attendees, and enjoy the desert sunset from the water. Your excursion fee includes round-trip transportation, dinner, and a complimentary drink.

To sign up, choose "Saguaro Lake Cruise (Sunday 4:30 - 9:15 p.m.)" while registering. You can sign up for the cruise while registering for the trip, or as a separate registration. Plus ones are welcome!
