I really wanted to like this pizza, but it was lacking in flavor. This is take out only. I ordered 2 slices to go. You'd think that since it's take out only you'd get fresh slices. Nope, no telling how long these were sitting in the case but even so, I had high hopes.
I reheated in air fryer which usually gives really good results. But this pizza just had no flavor to it.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jim W.Holly Springs, NC10436101Jan 24, 2023
If you've ever wondered what it's like to see the largest pizza on Earth I would visit The Pizza Times. A group of us (six) stopped by for dinner and ordered a pizza- what we received was a manhole cover topped with pepperoni, sausage, peppers, and onions! It was laughably ENORMOUS and to this day we talk about it.......but it's also a very delicious pizza with a great staff.
You can get individual slices if you prefer something smaller, but if you want a delicious pizza big enough to feed a large family go here. We'll be back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gail T.Pittsboro, NC24155Jun 15, 2023
Best pizza ever. There's no indoor seating but outside in the courtyard nearby, there's benches you could sit and enjoy the delicious fresh pizza that they make.

I used to eat at this place for work lunch on a regular basis 2 years ago, and it was fabulous. Went back last night (5/15/23) for a take out pie for dinner with my son, and it was perhaps the worst pizza I have had in years. We have eaten at all the pizza places in town over 25+ years. Gumby's was better than what we had last night.
Literally 6 slices of pepperoni on an 18" pie, and 6 mushroom slices. Crust was burned on the bottom, and cheese had the texture of waxed paper. The kid making the pizza appeared to have little confidence in what he was doing.
Truly awful and will not go back. Would not recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - David C.Montclair, NJ653Jul 27, 2023

I wish I could give this place no stars.

Location reminds me of a grab and go at any of our local college spots. Its design is of such (no in house dining or standing) and its downtown parking. The lunch special was nice 1-topping slice, very nice garden salad and a drink for $7.. The slice its self had a very nice crust almost cornmealish (great crunch) couldn't really taste the sauce (it seemed flavorless.)
I will agree with a previous review - a box for to go slices would be great. The bag and plate(s) was over kill.
If in the area and craving a quick slice, I'd pick it up again.
Exceptional customer service thoughHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mark D.Raleigh, NC17510Feb 17, 2023Updated review
Updated review...not sure what happened the last time I ordered, but the crust was super bland and not fully cooked, toppings were sparse at best, and the workers were all over the place and unorganized. Had I not been here before, I'd 100% not go back. I'll give them one more shot though.
Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0Apr 30, 2022Previous reviewThere are tons of pizza joints in Raleigh. There are several between us and Pizza Times that are solid. Boy am I glad I pulled the trigger and took a chance on this place. The pizza is absolutely delicious with a great crust and flavorful sauce. It was perfectly greasy, without being gross. We'll be putting this place in our rotation.

I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a good slice of pizza. they are extremely unorganized when taking your order and ask you numerous times what you had on your slices and still end up getting it completely wrong. I would recommend Benny's pizza and if they are closed wait till they are open before coming here.

Y'all. Stop sleeping on this place - it is SO DARN GOOD. Like "best pizza we've had in the area" good.
The garlic knots are *chef's kiss* and the charred pepperonis are splendid. The crust! It holds up when you pick up your slice! The cheese - melty in all the right places.
We eat here at least once a week. For the price, it can't be beat.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 672271107Feb 14, 2018Updated review
Update: It's the PIZZA that's great, not the slices! I've figured out all the conflicting reviews. They're pubbing the wrong items! The slices are at best OK, and let you feel good about having eaten healthier pizza.
My recommendation: be sure to get a full-size PIZZA - they make it fresh with the toppings and it tastes incredible. When they make the slices they par-bake the pizza, and it's just OK.
Read my previous review for the full story, but I worry about this business promoting their slices instead of their full-size pizzas. Everyone who has gotten a slice hasn't felt compelled to return.
Alternative: they have a rotating special slice straight from a fully-cooked pizza, and I suspect those are also probably delicious.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Jan 24, 2018Previous reviewPerfectly convenient pizza takeout for a quick pickup lunch, especially for those looking for something a bit healthier than your average greasy slice place. $7 lunch special can get you two 1-topping slices and a drink, or, most importantly, 1 slice, a salad and a drink. You get a choice of kale Ceaser or garden salad.
It's standing room only, but with a grab-and-go case, three pies on display, and turned around my slices in under 5 minutes. The pizza itself is a solid hand-tossed slice that's light on the sauce, but good on the cheese, with fresh toppings that feel a cut above your typical pizza at this price point.
Highly recommend the lunch special for a quick bite, as long as you aren't ravenous. The pizza portions don't stand up to Benny Capitale's down the way, but if you're working in an office all day, that's usually a good thing.
