We've been interested in Montessori Spanish immersion for the last few years. We were very excited when we found Guidepost and the experience has been great. The guides really bond with the kids and our older son has grown noticeably more curious and independent since starting.

Words cannot express how happy we are with Guidepost Montessori!! Since the first time we stepped in the door, the professionalism of the staff and teachers has maintained to be true!! Our son has been at Guidepost for a little over 6 months and what he has learned in that short period of time is beyond belief!! The training given to the teachers allows the classroom to operate with a kind, calm and learning environment!! The Communication between teachers and parents has been excellent, allowing us to understand, practice and help our child with everything he is learning!! We can't imagine a better way to prepare our child for Kindergarten!!
If you are looking for something better you just found it!! Mr. and Mrs. Z

We moved from DC and I looked at way too many preschools. I choose a school that I still think was a fine choice but that my 2 1/2 year old daughter hated. She was there for one week, crying softly in the corner everyday when I picked her up. Though the teachers at the other school were kind, the environment was chaotic and my daughter couldn't learn or thrive there.

That's when we decided to move her to Guidepost. This was going to be tough because she had a new sense of dread about any school. It's been a month and a half now. My daughter loves her school, teachers and friends. She talks about them before she goes to bed and does circle time with us at home. She's excelling with her letters, vocabulary and motor skills. She's becoming more and more independent. (She's not 3 yet but she sweeps under her chair after particularly messy meals.) More importantly, she views her days as fun and she feels cared about by the people she's surrounded by all day. The classrooms are bright and happy. They make their own snacks and garden, which is incredibly adorable. The materials in the class are engaging and fun while also serving as teaching tools. My daughter gets lots of outside time, which was something that was very important to me because playing outside is fun for kids but also shown to help them develop cognitively.

I'd be remiss if I didn't add that the school administrators and the teachers in the other classrooms all go out of their way to know my daughter and to follow up with me. I haven't had any problems yet but any question I've had has been handled with the utmost attention. Angel in particular has been helpful to me in making decisions about which classroom to choose and why.

I love Guidepost and feel like I got so lucky to find such a wonderful place for my daughter to spend time when she isn't with her family.

"The things he sees are not just remembered; they form a part of his soul." -Maria Montessori
At Guidepost, care is taken to curate an organized work space for children of all ages to foster their independence and to work (the Montessori term for "play") as their developmental stage dictates to them. Each classroom is exquisite, both in cleanliness and purposefulness in the materials inside. The guides, director, and assistant director emulate have created an environment where children's souls are allowed to explore real world activities and what they enjoy, Montessori principals to the core.
This school is not like other daycares, I even struggle with calling it a daycare (therefore I don't,) as it is so much more than that. My daughter was going to a stellar traditional daycare and was doing very well. As I was a Montessori child, we knew that we wanted to have our children have some Montessori education. She transitioned to Guidepost at 8 months and, my goodness, did we see a difference. We thought she was blossoming at her other daycare, but nothing compared to the happiness that we found in her immediately upon starting to attend here. There is not the level of chaos, disorder, or crying children as can be found at other places.
Words cannot describe how happy you and your child(ren) will be if you decide that Guidepost Montessori is the right place for you.
Montessori shapes a child's soul and teaches them skills and independence that he/she will use for their lifetime. This is exactly what Guidepost Montessori at Spruce Tree does.

We LOVE this preschool!! And my son loves it too! We were looking for a better way to learn than how I was raised - one that encourages love of learning and independence. The director is Sam (Samantha) Sharp and I cannot say enough good things. The lead guide in his class is Ms. Amanda and she is amazing!! My son is thriving there! He has always been advanced in all milestones which actually made it very difficult to find the right preschool. The classrooms each have an age range verses all the same age which I love because he learns from the older children and leads the younger ones. After visiting or speaking to at least 12 preschools we decided hands down to attend Guidepost. It is a fairly new school but as word gets out it's filling up fast.. it has a beautiful, clean, well designed campus. They offer half-day, 3days a week (any three days you want), to full-day, 5days a week programs. Open from 7am to 6pm!!! They provide a healthy snack and you provide a lunch. It is a nut-free facility. You should check it out!

Our daughter is nearly two years old and has been attending Guidepost at Spruce Tree for close to three months. We were referred to this school by good friends of ours that could not express enough how wonderful it has been for their daughter who has been there a year now and is also almost two. Our daughter was previously with a nanny, so this was going to be quite the adjustment. After meeting with Holly (Head of School) a couple of times, deciding to make the transition became a no brainer and something we were very excited about. We decided to put our daughter in the Spanish Immersion Program; and haven't looked back since. Holly and our daughter's Guide both met with me to discuss what to expect and go over the routine, and ideas to make the transition go as smooth as possible. Three months later, it nearly brings me to tears to talk about how AMAZING Guidepost at Spruce Tree, Holly (Head of School), Angel (Assistant Head of School), and our daughters four Guide's have been. They have from the beginning comforted her when she needed it, given her an abundance of confidence, lead her to independence, helped her to focus, encouraged to learn and think for herself, shown her grace, and so much more. Not only have we noticed these changes at school, but we have seen them first hand at home. Everyone knows who my husband and I are since day one, along with our daughter and they truly care how things are going. The Guide's genuinely care for our daughter and it's abundantly clear when we talk to them. My husband and I feel comforted knowing she is in loving care and that she is having an exciting day.
