Join YPN for Food Bank Takeover

Come be a part of the YPN “Takeover” of the Raleigh Food Bank Distribution Center! YPN volunteers are teaming up with the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina to take over their entire Raleigh operation (including all social media!) for a day to assist them in their mission to see that no one goes hungry in central and eastern North Carolina.

Last year, the Food Bank of CENC distributed 64.4 million pounds of food and other essential items. They provided 210,000 meals through the Kids Summer Meals Program and distributed 23.3 million pounds of fresh produce by year end.

YPN volunteers will have an opportunity to help feed the people of North Carolina through sorting, packing, and distributing foods to those in need. Volunteers will also assist the Food Bank by revitalizing the garden located onsite. A tour of the entire brand-new facility will be provided.

Register now to work alongside fellow YPN members in either the morning session (9 a.m. - noon) or the afternoon (1 - 3 p.m.) in helping to end hunger in our state!
