Leadership Lessons from Duke Energy President

Learn leadership lessons from David Fountain, North Carolina president of Duke Energy. In this role, Fountain is responsible for advancing the company’s rate and regulatory initiatives while managing state and local regulatory and government relations, economic development, community affairs, water strategy, hydroelectric licensing, and lake services. 

Prior to assuming this position in September 2015, Fountain served as senior vice president of enterprise legal support for Duke Energy. He joined Carolina Power & Light in 2000 and has served in various legal roles with Duke Energy and its predecessor companies over the past 16 years.
